For Fun was also purchased at foal age. He already then had the same attitude as his sire For Pleasure. Raised with al his pasture mates during the following years, his sire For Pleasure gained the highest reputation of an successful international show jumper.

For Fun showed great ride ability and was very skilled from the first jumps he did. He was qualified for the German National young jumper championships and made it successful all the way up to the national open classes. Comparing the pictures of his sire For Pleasure and For Fun, there is no difference in style and technique. For Fun is a perfect “mirror image” of For Pleasure in temperament, character and all the above! Due to an accident and injury he is retired from show jumping and spends the time with us doing his dressage movements all the way up to the FEI level movements.

The year For Fun was born, his sire For Pleasure became the Silver Medalist at the World Cup Finals 1995 in Göteborg / Sweden, with Lars Nieberg in tack The same year, at the age of nine, For Pleasure became the German show jumping champion after a very fast jump off against Ratina Z, ridden by Ludger Beerbaum.

Due to his athletic quality and his ride ability he got qualified for the Olympic Games 1996 Atlanta / USA from where he and Lars Nieberg came home with the team gold medal.For Pleasure continued his outrageous career at the highest international level with his second rider Markus Ehning. They got qualified again for the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000 from where they also came home with the team gold medal.

For Pleasure is until today considered to have been one of the best international Grand Prix jumpers in the world. He showed more than a decade at the highest performance level and also produced some very successful international Grand prix jumpers as the stallion For Keeps, Lars Nieberg; Flashlight, Jörg Peper; Firth Of Clyde, with Olympian Christian Ahlmann on board.
