In the past more than 30 years we had the chance and were allowed to have worked with several outstanding horse personalities. To have had the chance to have trained them in their first steps of the equestrian vocabulary, to have put down the foundation of the trusting relationship to the humans and the riders, learned us so much about the individual horse character.
We are very proud to can look back to such later outstanding international competitors we trained and such we discovered for our cliental, which made it all the way to the highest level of the top equestrian performance, to the Olympic Games.
Grunox, by Grunewald – Absatz - Poet xx, came to us in training in 1984 and learned his first steps of riding and dressage vocabulary. Later owned by Ulli and Bianca Kasselmann, he started with Monica Theodurescu outstanding successful at the international FEI level. They showed successful at the Olympic Games in Barcelona 1992 and the Olympic Games Atlanta 1996. Both times they came home with the German team gold medal and finished fourth in the individual rankings at the Olympic Games in Atlanta 1996.

For Pleasure, by Furioso II – Grannus, came to us as a late yearling He went through the training for the Oldenburg stallion licensing and got approved in 1988 Since he was so obedient, lots of fun to train and a pleasure to have him around, we named him For Pleasure During the free jumping at the licensing he received highest scores for his jumping ability Carefully trained at our place, he did the stallion performance test, the 100 days test and finished with record high scores and points the jumping discipline Later For Pleasure was ridden by H-J Giebel in the young jumper classes where For Pleasure qualified for the Federal Young Horse Championships
At the age of seven and eight he already won 15 national Grand Prix classes and twice the Hanoverian championships and was transferred to the training centre of Lars Nieberg At the age of nine, after a few months they were qualified for the Volvo World Cup finals and finished “right of the bat” at second place The same year Lars Nieberg and For Pleasure won the German Championships and qualified one year later for the Olympic Games in Atlanta 1996 and came home with the team gold medal With his second international rider Markus Ehning, For Pleasure continued with outstanding success and qualified again for the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000, from where they also came home with the team gold medal He is by far one of the most successful Grand Prix stallions in the world and was announced the “Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2000”
Oh Star, aka Olimpic Star, we found for Todd Minikus as a four year old, right after he finished his stallion performance test with sufficient scores The first two years Todd just rode him in the Hunter classes with great success, up to numerous champion ribbons At the age of seven he started to show Oh Star in the open classes and won the same year five Grand Prix classes including the Zangersheide Grand Prix at the 5* CSIO at Monterrey / Mexico
Oh Star and Todd won numerous Grand Prix classes, finished sixth as the best American horse / rider combination in the finals at Las Vegas 2000# The same year they both qualified in the Olympic selection trails and made it as the alternate to the Olympic Games in Sydney 2000
Back on American soil, Oh Star and Todd won close to every Grand Prix in the USA and placed third in the CHIO Grand Prix at Calgary / Canada# In 2001 they were honored with all four titles “Stallion of the Year”, “Grand Prix Horse of the Year”, “Rider of the Year” and “Horseman of the Year” In 2002 they qualified again for the World Cup finals Due to an office related mistake they couldn’t participate at the finals in Leipzig / Germany
Champ 163 the licensed Grand Prix stallion we found for the American Olympic veteran Anne Kursinski in 2007 She got Champ out of quarantine in December 2007 and started with him at the WEF circuit in Florida January 2008 After a few rounds in the 1,45 meter classes they aimed for the Grand Prix courses and started the Olympic selection trails Out of a field of close to seventy starters they finished after five major Grand Prix classes third and were a member of the first ranked team for the European Samsung Super League Nations Cup
Due to their performance in Europe they just missed making the team and were sent as the alternate to the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008
In 2009 Champ was transferred to the three time World Cup winner, Olympian and international successful Brazilian rider Rodrigo Pessoa They competed successful in Europe, Oslo, Hamburg, Paris and participated also very successful during the Global Champions Tour GCT at the various as in Doha / Qatar
Back on American soil Champ and Rodrigo continued with great success in winning the $ 75000,00 Grand Prix with the fastest time in the jump off in a field out of 48 participants, during the 2010 WEF circuit in Wellington / Florida They might get ready for the WEG in Kentucky 2010 Our Congratulation goes to the owner Robert & Sandy of Legacy Stable
