Farlap; owner Ilona SchonebeckFarlap was purchased at foal age and grew up with his mates until it was time to go to school! From the first day of work in training with Ilona he showed great athletic skills under saddle and at the jumps. He certainly full filled our expectations during his first horse show debut. Continuing with great success in the young jumper classes he attracted lots of interests from several Grand Prix riders. He won right out of the starting gate several 1.40 and 1.45 meter jump off classes and received upper ribbons in the bigger national courses. At the 3* CSI Lummen / Belgium he showed his international quality in the high performance Grand Prix classes. With the final 3* CSI Grand Prix ribbon he was also qualified for the 5* CSI at the international horse show in Lummen / Belgium. His sire For Pleasure, considered being the “stallion of the millennium”, doesn’t need a further pedigree description,. As the two times Olympic team gold medalist and successful international Grand Prix winner over more than a decade, he should be well-known all over the world. Farlap’s dam sire Argument also sired the international successful Grand Prix dressage competitor Anthony FRH, who also showed for more than a decade at international level with Olympian and World Champion Isabell Werth / Germany in tack. Farlap’s grand dam is full sister to the Olympic show jumper Moritz, who showed a double clear round in the Olympic games 1992 in Barcelona / Spain with Peter Errikson on board. During his career Moritz continued showing successful with Lise Quintero / USA at World Cup level. Please see attached some video footage of For Pleasure: |
