The horse business is a matter of Trust! Its all about the horses!
Since more than 25 years Ilona and H.- Gerd Schonebeck dedicated their life to the horses, the training and the management. No matter if its dressage, jumping or breeding. With their enthusiastic attitude, patients and hope they came all the way and kept going with their goal in mind for the future. "Not from books, form life itself you are suppose to learn!" (Hermann Hesse) Ilona and H.- Gerd were always willing to learn from the horses. With feeling and knowledge they always understood to bring out new talented horses, who were and still are successful during their career in national and international show rings.
Both of them gathered experience in staying overseas. In America and Australia, the training with Grand Prix experts as Paul Schockemöhle and Gerd Wiltfang, studying with horse experts as Uwe Heckmann, head of the Oldenburg auction centre, opened the doors for them into the professional league. During all those years international contacts were made and helped to bring in the necessary prosperous balance for the Schonebeck Stable.
With their more than 25 years of experience and the number of different horses they had in training, they now concentrate in buying foals from successful family lines and start them for the world of the equestrian sports. Whenever there is time, they are looking for new talented prospects, dressage horses, hunter, jumper and valuable breeding stock all over Europe. Hope and the believe in the good nature of the horses - in a sound body is a sane spirit - they stay motivated to continue to reach their goal. With the slogan: "the youngster are our future!"
Ilona and H.- Gerd see themselves as the connection between the breeders and the riders. To full fill the request from their customers they make sure that they find the right rider - horse combination, what seems to be the key for their success. Here are some horses listed we helped to get a successful career in America! Also the team work is very important to them: "Whenever you see a turtle on a fence post, you know it must have gotten help to get there!" (Russell D'Anna)
Over the years they developed trusting relationships with riders and trainers on both sides of the world and the successful career of their horses left a strong and positive impression
